Carter Conn Reaches 1,000 Career Points in Big Win Over Winona

Albert Lea, MN — Albert Lea High School senior Carter Conn reached a major career milestone Tuesday night, scoring his 1,000th career point in a standout performance against Winona.

Conn led the Tigers to victory with a dominant all-around performance, finishing with 30 points and 12 rebounds in the team’s win. The milestone basket came in a game that perfectly showcased the work ethic, leadership, and competitiveness that have defined his high school career.

“Reaching 1,000 points is a special accomplishment that reflects years of dedication, consistency, and commitment,” said Activities Director Dave Langerud. “Carter is not only a great scorer, but a great competitor who has worked extremely hard to become the athlete and leader he is today.”

Head Coach Harrison Koetz added, “It has been an honor to watch Carter grow over the course of his four-year varsity career. His dedication to what he does is evident, and his personal accomplishments are a direct reflection of his work ethic and commitment. The Tigers Boys Basketball Team is incredibly proud of him.”

Carter’s achievement places him among an elite group of players in Albert Lea High School basketball history to reach the 1,000-point mark.

In addition to his success on the basketball court, Conn will continue his athletic career at the next level. He is scheduled to sign to play football at Winona State University in February, further highlighting his versatility and talent as a multi-sport athlete.
